Should I invest my money now?

With markets at all-time highs, should I sell my investments and sit in cash?

This is a great question, one that I get often.  My reply is “what is your required rate of return?”  Most investors don’t know because they don’t have a financial plan.  Financial plans guide high-quality advisors on asset mix and allocation (stocks, bonds, real estate, cash) for client’s capital.  Market timing can be risky as you need to be right twice, the timing of the exit and the re-entry.  We are very proactive with portfolio risk management, raising and holding onto higher levels of cash when the markets show signs of overvaluation.  Is your advisor managing your risk and required rate of return the same way?  Let’s chat.
